Funding
In Denver Public Schools, each charter school receives funding through the school district for the following categories:
- Per Pupil Revenues (PPR) that are distributed according to the funding formulas defined in the School Finance Act, charter school law, and each charter school's contract.
- Mill levy monies that the district receives as a result of the successful passage of mill levy overrides.
- Categorical funds, both state and federal dollars, that are distributed to each charter school according to the appropriate guidelines. These include Title monies if applicable, and state funds for English language learners and gifted and talented education as well as transportation reimbursements.
